New American Workplace

On March 20, 2008, at the Sierra Nevada Brewery located in Chico, CA, Dr. James O’Toole will present “The New American Workplace: How American Workers Can Successfully Compete in World Markets.” With the changing economy and workforce in our nation, it is imperative to understand the current trends and conditions and how we can adjust methods and practices for a successful future.

The event is hosted by the Center for Economic Development in partnership with the Northern Rural Training Employment Consortium (NoRTEC), North Central Counties Consortium (NCCC), Golden Capital Network and the Northeastern CA Small Business Development Centers. In addition to hearing Dr. O’Toole present, registrants will be given the opportunity to learn about projects and efforts that are currently being developed and implemented in the North State through the WIRED (Workforce Innovation through Regional Economic Development) grant.

Registration fees are $10.00 per person and includes all handouts for the event as well as an invitation to the reception immediately following the presentations. Please see attached flyer and registration form for more information. Questions can be directed to Courtney Danehy (cdanehy@csuchico.edu) at the Center for Economic Development, (530) 898-4598.
